KEROPOK AUNTIE!
Long ago, there was a story about an old woman, going house to house, pleading that she’s very tired and wanted to come in, take a rest, asking the house owner for water. One of those days, she came to Hanzic home, a friend whom lived a block away from me.
Long ago, there was a story about an old woman, going house to house, pleading that she’s very tired and wanted to come in, take a rest, asking the house owner for water. One of those days, she came to Hanzic home, a friend whom lived a block away from me.
As was told, she noticed that there was something fishy and strange about this old woman, and told his mom not to let her in. At same time, she signaled the neighbors around not to open the door for this old woman. In disappointment, the old woman walked away.
About 30 - 45 minutes later, there was a loud scream from a house in another block. Lots of people who knows this “screamer” came to see what’s the commotion about.
When Hanzic was there, the Makcik (Auntie for Malay) said that there was an old woman came to her door step. The same person whom came to Hanzic home earlier. What was told that she lets the person in, let her sit in the living room while she went to the kitchen and prepared a drink. But when she returned to the living room, the old woman wasn’t there.
Suddenly her daughter began screaming.
She rushed into her daughter room only to see the old woman was standing front of her fainted daughter. The old woman turned and stared the Makcik with bloodshot eyes, and instantly dash out of the room and out the house.
After that day, the commotions start spreading like wild fire at Clementi West Street One. I was not told about the status of the girl but one thing for sure, it was said that about 7.00pm, she begin screaming hysterically.
Bomoh and Uztaz (Medicine Man and Holy Man in Malay) come to help the Makcik daughter. With the help of Allah, she cured. All the Malays with or without knowledge of “Bomoh-ism”, even few Chinese’s, were told to be aware if such person came about again. As weeks goes by, that old woman appeared again!
The information was spread to everyone. Within minutes, the “Red army” of Clementi West Street One was assembled, and start chasing that old woman. But that old woman ran away like a speeding bullet and vanished behind the pillars up ahead.
Unbelievable for an old woman to run that fast, well… better believe it. This was one fading story that actually happened in the olden day. After that… the old woman was never seen again.
Now earlier, about 6.40am while my mom was watering the plants outside the house, she told me about a certain rumors happened in the Pasir Ris area. Was said that, there was an old person selling Keropok (Crackers for Malay) house to house but carrying a batu nisan (Tombstone for Malay) in the bag.
Was told that lots of Malays in Pasir Ris were aware of this and all living in fear, not opening the door for anyone.
While during the conversation with my mom, she suspected that its
At about 6.50am, I’ve smsed to all SGFreakyLinks fanatics and crews about this Pasir Ris story.
A while later, Kearosyne, SGFreakyLinks Advisor, called me that my information was a little side track.
His version from what he’d heard was the entire saga started at Woodlands. But it was not a tombstone. It was said that the person came from house to house selling Keropok. There was one event where the person went to the second house off the corner trying to sell something. Coincidental, the owner of the first house off the corner take a peek through the peeping hole and saw a Pontianak, holding that seller shoulder from behind.
Was told that someone, somewhat gotten possessed when opening the door wanting to buy the Keropok.
So now… which is true? Whom should we be aware of?
The old woman Polong’s passed down to one of her relative and someone taken over her legacy? Old man selling keropok with a tombstone in his bag? or was it the one selling keropok with a Pontianak tailing behind him like Mary’s little lamb?
Please do note that the detail was unconfirmed as I speak. I hoping anyone of you readers out there knows about the story and enlighten this rumor by adding your comments below.
Either if its true or not, I can’t say much yet. I don’t want SGFreakyLinks to spread rumor but since it was told by my mom, and I trusted what she heard and said. My mom was not a person who shares with me ghostly stories, unless its for the sake of safety to the family.
As this very moment, I pray that the rumors was another bloody bastard spreading fake stories to frighten everyone. But what if it really happened?
For myself, such info like these are ought to take note but it does not hurt to be aware and stay cautious.
Hopefully this message will be sent across to you and please spread it out to your and friends (or easily give them this website link to read what I’ve wrote).
Tell everyone you know not to live in fear about this told rumor, but at the same time, not to open the door for anyone selling anything. Don’t care if it’s the Ministry of Environment coming to your house to check for mosquito breeding.
Always remember that the peep hole is your friend!
Peek first before opening your door.
If you asked me, If such story was indeed true, I’m hoping it will end up at my doorstep… so I can freaking chase it with a fork and a knife, like I did with the Kum Kum that terrorized Singapore in 1999.
Hmmm..Scary right?? So friends! Lock your Main Door from now onwards..wahaha!
